What we do

Our group combines statistics, theory and long-term ecological datasets to answer ecological questions, ranging from the individual to the community level. Study systems are varied – recent projects include birds, mammals, insects, various plants, and phytoplankton.

The Statistical and Theoretical Ecology Group is led by Frederic Barraquand (CNRS) and located at the University of Bordeaux (Institute of Mathematics, with close ties to biology lab Biogeco).
